Description
We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Controller to join our team in Garrettsville, Ohio. As a Controller, you will play a critical role in managing our company's financial activities, supervising our personnel, and identifying areas for process improvement to enhance efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the establishment of corporate economic strategies, objectives, and policies
- Generate reports forecasting our company's business activity and financial position
- Lead the preparation of budgets and review budget proposals
- Offer advice on insurance coverage for property losses and potential liabilities
- Provide regular reviews of the organization's financial status and progress in various programs
- Recommend operational adjustments in response to revisions in tax codes
- Organize audits of the company's accounts
- Prepare reports as required by regulatory agencies
- Foster relationships with banks and other financial institutions
- Supervise the upgrade and maintenance of the company payroll system
- Provide support to employees in the accounting, accounts payable, and accounts receivable departments
- Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws
- Manage the hiring, training, and supervision of accounting staff.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Controller position or similar role
- Proficiency in Accounting Functions
- Experience in handling Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Proven knowledge in Auditing procedures
- Familiarity with Budget Processes and planning
- Experience in Month End Close procedures
- Ability to prepare and interpret Financial Statements
- Experience in managing Payroll processes
- Prior experience in the Manufacturing sector is required
