Professional Staffing has partnered with a well-established organization in Downtown Edmonton in the search for a Controller. Reporting to the VP of Finance, the Controller will be responsible for month-end close, oversight of the Accounting team and the day-to-day Accounting Operations.

This role requires on-site presence 5 days a week in Edmonton.

Responsibilities

• Month end close and Financial Reporting
• Preparation for year-end audits
• Compile and analyze financial statements
• Grant Management reporting and analysis - including Financial Modeling
• Cash flow and Credit Management
• Complete department budgets, forecasts and variance analysis
• Tax compliance and regulatory filings

Qualifications

• Canadian CPA Designation is required
• 8+ years of full cycle accounting - Month end close
• Grand and Fund Reporting Experience
• Familiarity with IFRS or PSAS Accounting Standards
• Proven management experience in leading teams
