Company Overview

A privately held, vertically integrated manufacturing company, this organization specializes in producing high-quality, niche consumer products and operates with a strong focus on operational excellence, compliance, and innovation.

About the Role

The Controller will lead the organization’s full cycle accounting operations, reporting directly to the CFO. This is a highly visible role with an opportunity to take ownership of accounting processes, collaborate cross-functionally, and help shape the company’s financial future.

Why This Role Stands Out:

  • Tight-knit, collaborative team with a laid-back, yet accountable culture
  • Low red tape, high impact: autonomy to streamline and build processes
  • Strong mentorship and succession path under the current CFO
  • Broad exposure across departments and the ability to influence strategy

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the month-end close and preparation of accurate financial statements
  • Partner with the CFO on budgets, forecasts, and financial planning
  • Serve as lead contact for annual audit preparation and support
  • Contribute to cross-functional initiatives and special projects

Ideal Candidate Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master’s is a plus)
  • CPA strongly preferred
  • Solid grasp of inventory, COGS, and manufacturing accounting
  • ERP experience required; must be tech-savvy and adaptable to new systems
  • Experience in small, privately backed environments is a plus
