Description

Fisk Electric is seeking a Controller to join our team in Dallas, TX. Reporting to the VP of Finance and Accounting, this is a hands-on leadership role responsible for overseeing financial operations in our Dallas, Las Vegas, and San Antonio offices. You will have the opportunity to:

• Manage month-end and quarter-end close, job costing, forecasting, and budgeting
• Lead a team of accounting professionals across multiple offices
• Provide strategic financial insight to help shape company growth
• Lead financial operations for offices in Dallas, Las Vegas, and San Antonio
• Oversee monthly and quarterly financial reporting
• Track actual performance vs. forecast and budget
• Approve cash disbursements and oversee AP/AR processes
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies
• Serve as a key resource for operations and accounting teams on ERP systems
• Continuously improve cross-functional financial processes and controls
  
  

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting (CPA or MBA preferred)
• 2+ years of construction accounting experience
• 8+ years total experience in finance/accounting
• 3+ years in a leadership role
• Strong understanding of GAAP
• Experience with Oracle JD Edwards (preferred)
• Excellent Excel and PowerPoint skills
• Ability to balance attention to detail with big-picture thinking
• Strong communication and analytical skills
• Comfortable managing priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Willingness to travel (15%–20%)
