Job Details

We are actively seeking a passionate and experienced Consulting Controller to join our dynamic team. This is a contract-to-hire position, providing an excellent opportunity for the right candidate to make a significant impact on our company's financial health and growth. The ideal candidate will be an innovative, strategic thinker with a proven track record in financial management within the engineering industry. This role requires a deep understanding of the architectural, engineering, and construction (AEC) sector, and a strong background in financial reporting, month-end close processes, and project management.

Responsibilities

As a Consulting Controller, your primary responsibility will be to oversee and manage all aspects of our company's financial operations. This includes, but is not limited to

• Overseeing and managing all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
• Ensuring the accurate and timely completion of month-end close processes.
• Developing and implementing effective financial strategies to support the company's growth and profitability goals.
• Working closely with project managers to ensure accurate financial tracking and reporting.
• Serving as the primary point of contact for all financial inquiries and audits.
• Utilizing Unanet to streamline financial processes and improve financial visibility.
• Collaborating with senior management to align financial management with short and long-term strategic objectives.
  
  

Qualifications

The ideal candidate for the Consulting Controller position will have the following qualifications

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a financial leadership role within the engineering, architectural, or construction industry.
• Proven experience using Unanet or Deltek Ajera and other financial management software.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, month-end close processes, and project management.
• Excellent strategic thinking skills, with the ability to make sound financial decisions based on detailed analysis.
• Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
• A bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field. An MBA or related advanced degree is preferred.
• Professional certification such as Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) is a plus.
