Vaco Boston has partnered with a rapidly growing Technology company in the Boston area and they are looking to bring on a Controller to their team. This position will work with the company's CFO and finance team to shape, grow, and integrate the financial operations into a seamless global financial operations team. Qualifications:
Lead the Company's accounting function, including maintaining strong accounting and financial reporting support for the Company's international regions.
Direct and oversee the financial reporting activities
Take charge of and own the corporate financial statement consolidation and reporting, ensuring all applicable financial standards and internal controls are closely adhered to.
Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP financial standards and internal financial policies.
Ensure that financial assets of the company are protected through the application of strong and effective internal financial controls, including continually enhancing the company's internal controls framework for consistency, automation and scalability.
Lead and direct the company's global financial close and reporting processes, including: consolidating and reporting timely the monthly, quarterly, and annual global financial statement results.
Oversee and direct all accounting activities to effectively manage the company's cash, capital investment, and asset management.
Oversee the company's billing and accounts receivable management operations to ensure accurate and timely sales invoicing to customers.
Serve as the business owner of the accounting system and ensure the continued automation of key accounting processes.
Maintain and constantly evaluate the company's financial processes, systems, policies and procedures
Experience/Skills Required:
A BS in Accounting or related field, with a MBA preferred.
CPA preferred, but not required. Current CPA license status a bonus.
Minimum 10-15 years of increasingly responsible accounting and Controller experience.
Experience working with complex ERP integrations required.
Self-motivated and entrepreneurial with strong multi-tasking skills
Excellent written and verbal communications skills are required.
Strong interpersonal skills - adept at collaborating, influencing, and developing relationships at all levels of the organization.
Advanced skills with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
