Job Description: Control Systems Engineer will handle the onsite support, programming, and debugging of various control systems on new or existing automated equipment. Responsibilities will include:

• Exposure to a range of industries including: Food and Beverage production, Automtive, Pharmaceutical, High Speed Packaging, Material Handling etc.
• Programming automated equipment using Siemens, Omron, Mitsubishi and Modicon PLCs, HMI.
• Must have familiarity with STEP 7, TIA Portal, GX Works, GX Developer, CX Programmer etc.
• Exposure to ROBOT / COBOT programming including ABB, KHUKA, OMRON, STAUBLI etc.
• Debugging equipment and final qualification of equipment in production.
• Integration of Vision Keyence, Cognex, Wenglor, Barcode, Laser, 4-20mA devices.
• Familiarity with industrial networks including: Profinet, Ethernet IP, AS-i, Hart, Modbus, IO Link etc.
• Work closely with production and process engineering to develop training and support during initial introduction of equipment into production.
• Provide trouble shooting support to production on equipment issues that cannot be solved by the production maintenance team.
• Be prepared to travel - up to 50% with overnight stays.
• The successful candidate will be both a team player and capable of working on their own, will be a self-starter, have a good work ethic, good time management skills, creativity, analytical skills, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Electrical Engineering or equivalent with 3 – 10 years’ experience in the equipment engineering field, building and programming automated equipment / systems.
