Position: Control Room Operator Sheridan County Detention Center is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Control Operator. Part-time and fill-in available. This position requires shift work including holidays and weekends. PRINCIPAL JOB DUTIES: Help maintain the safety and security of Detention staff and inmates by monitoring cameras throughout the facility Maintain accurate records of officer and inmate movements and interactions Help Detention Officers enforce detention center rules Must have communication skills to interact with fellow staff, inmates and general public Supervise inmate workers during inside work activities Performs other duties as assigned Operate 2-way radios Job Type: Part-time, Fill-in and Full-time Pay Rate: $18.44 per hour Full-Time Benefits: Health insurance Dental insurance Vision insurance Retirement Paid time off (vacation and sick) Paid holidays Schedule: 8 hour shifts Day shift (8am-4pm), Swing (4pm-midnight), Grave yard (midnight-8am) Weekends and holidays For more information, please contact Jenn Yardas or Tracy Plehn at 307-672-5623.
