International company looking for an experienced Contract Officer to manage all commercial aspects of the company’s contracts with its customers from time of order acceptance until payment is received in full.

About the Role

Reporting to the Financial Manager, you will manage all commercial aspects of the company’s contracts, ensure compliance with all contract terms and advise relevant stakeholders of any matters arising out of the commercial aspects of the contracts affecting the Company’s financial position.

This is a key role in the company, your duties will include:

• Attending “Sales Handover” and weekly production meetings and ensuring that all documentation required to form an enforceable contract is properly completed and filed.
• Accurate entry of contracts and cost estimates into SAP ensuring currency conversion guidelines are followed.
• Prompt preparation and issuing of commercial invoices for deposits, progress claims and final payments.
• Create inter departmental invoices and upload into SAP.

About You:

To be successful, you will have:

• Tertiary qualification in Finance/Business or knowledge equivalent through at least 4 years’ experience in a similar role.
• Demonstrated experience with foreign currency.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Excel, Access), SharePoint and SAP.
• Some knowledge of job costing in a project manufacturing environment will be an advantage.
• Strong planning and organisational skills
• Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to work co-operatively with other team members to achieve team goals.
