We are looking for an experienced Contracts Manager to join our team. This role will lead contract efforts, including commercial (domestic and international), procurement, and government contracts. Responsibilities include overseeing contract and subcontract preparation, negotiation, acceptance, and management regarding matters ofexport regulations, FCC regulationsand compliance; CFIUS, ITAR, Technology transactions (technology projects and commercial transactions), National Security, Distribution/Reseller agreements, Consulting agreements (Sales and non-sales), license agreements, trademarks, and patents. Responsible for managing the review and approval of contractual documents to protect the Company's contractual posture, satisfaction of government specifications and requirements, and adherence to company policy. Works with the functional teams to ensure detailed contractual obligations will be satisfied. Participate in negotiating, structuring, and/or administrating contractual documents that establish business relationships with vendors, customers, and/or partners. Network with key contacts outside of their own area of expertise.
Responsibilities
Manage and draft contracts and related documents to assess the Companyrisk, recommend mitigation approaches, and ensure compliance with various federal regulations and company policies
Lead proposal preparation, contract negotiation, and contract administration activities from the proposal through closeout
Manage daily contract activities for a variety of product lines and contract types, including cost-reimbursable and firm fixed; such activities will include establishing payment terms, initiating and monitoring invoicing, collections, and funding to support financial objectives;
Negotiate third-party agreements and coordinate with management to achieve favorable terms and conditions in accordance with company policy
Monitor contractual performance across the enterprise to mitigate performance, cost, and schedule risks
Enter and manage data in the CRM
Maintain and update the Legal Playbook as necessary
Maintain and update Legal Policies, Procedures, and Guidelines as necessary
Prepare and maintain required contract administration documentation in accordance with company procedures and government regulations
Participate in customer meetings, perform and monitor compliance with contract requirements, and lead the change management process
Document contract review and approval processes and develop and maintain systems to automate processes to ensure accuracy and timeliness of activities and reporting
Collaborate with other department employees, cross-functionally and with program personnel, and establish effective relationships with key customers
Ensure non-disclosure agreements and contract terms and conditions are negotiated within company guidelines
Review and interpret contracts, modifications, and change orders; prepare contract review records and obtain necessary management approvals
Interpret, apply, and follow government contract acquisition rules, company policies, and customer specifications
Support procurement and supply chain requirements
May act as official company liaison for and resolve contract matters with customer management
May coordinate the work of and assist in training other contract administrators
Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule
Manage applicable regulatory requirements
Support in managing outside counsel relationships
Support identifying, improving, driving, and implementing Legal Department processes and workflows
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in legal, arelated field,or equivalent
5+ Years of relevant contracting experience
Demonstrated experience in the aerospace industry and working with contracts and requirements from the following:
Government (DoD)
International Governments
Commercial (domestic and international)
Experience with export regulations, FCC regulations, and compliance; CFIUS, ITAR, Technology transactions (technology projects and commercial transactions), National Security, Distribution/Reseller agreements, Consulting agreements (Sales and non-sales), license agreements, trademarks, and patents
Experienced with cost reimbursable, award fee, and incentive fee contracts
Ability to manage multiple contracts at the same time, at moderate to high value and risk levels
Coordinate with senior and executive management to manage contract and legal risks and communicate requirements to management and staff
Must have excellent analytical skills, effective written and oral communication skills, effective negotiation skills, and strong interpersonal skills
Must be able to identify and resolve complex contract issues and advise program staff and management of contractual rights and obligations
Excellent communication skills, computer fluency, and an agile and effective negotiator with clear explanations
Experience in developing and implementing negotiation strategies
Must be a leader with conflict resolution skills in a changing environment
Compensation
The anticipated compensation for this position is $90,000-$140,000/yr, depending on previous experience
