Manager of Grants & Contracts
Schedule: Monday through Friday 09:00 am to 05:00 pm
35 Hours per week

JOB SUMMARY 
The Manager of Contracts and Grants will directly report to the Controller and oversee overall management of government contracts and tracking other funding including private foundations, with a portfolio of 20 million across multiple contracts and funding sources. This position is a working manager whose responsibilities include:
JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITES
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Contracts and Grants:
  • Supervise two Contracts and Grants Analysts in performing day-to-day Contracts and Grants functions 
  • Review and Prepare contract and grant budgets in compliance with contract/grant terms and conditions
  • Manage contract amendments, close-out budget modifications, and other required documentation submission for government (federal, state and city) contracts and private grants.
  • Manage relationships with funders and city agencies and advocate on behalf of WSFSSH
  • Provide support and documentation for execution of contracts and in contract development
  • Process monthly or quarterly vouchers for payments on government contracts and private grants
  • Prepare the Consolidated Budget Reports (CBR) and review the Consolidated Financial Reports (CFR) using the New York State Software
  • Coordinate with Budget Manager on budgeting and variance reporting of revenue and expenditure related to government contracts and private grants 
  • Provide guidance to accounting staff members on cost allocation and coding for contract/grant related expenditure
  • Review contracts and grants and ensure compliance with contractual and procurement performance, rules and regulations
  • Monitor General Ledger accounts related to contracts and grants and analyze the transactions recorded therein
  • Manage government contract audits and compliance as required
  • Interact with social service directors and building managers for the issues related to contracts and grants
  • Assist with annual government audits and year-end audits 
  • Perform special projects as needed 
 
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE SKILLS & ABILITIES
Qualifications:    
 
  • Non-profit experience including 4+ years of experience supporting government funded contracts and grants and interfacing with city/state/federal agencies
  • 4+ years of accounting related work experience with government funded contracts and grants
  • 3+ years supervisory experience
  • Bachelor’s degree (Accounting or other related major)
  • Strong attention to detail and solid organization/time management skills 
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Enthusiastic, positive team player with individuals at all levels
  • Proven ability to build and sustain relationships with external agency staff and internal colleagues
  • Demonstrated success in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple tasks concurrently
  • Experience with process improvement and development
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including advanced Excel Skills & Adobe Acrobat Professional
  • Proficient in Government contract systems including ELOCCS (Electronic Letter of Credit Control System), PASSPort (New York City’s online procurement system), and SFS (Statewide Financial System) or equivalent systems from other states
  • Experience with budgeting/accounting systems; Sage MIP Fund Accounting and systems is a plus
