Responsibilities
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Contracts and Procurement Manager in Bowie, MD. Summary: The Contracts and Procurement Manager is responsible for overseeing the procurement process, managing contracts, and ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations. This role involves negotiating terms, managing supplier relationships, and optimizing procurement strategies to achieve cost savings and efficiency. Key Responsibilities:
- Contract Management: Draft, review, and negotiate contracts with suppliers and vendors; Ensure all contracts comply with legal requirements and company policies
- Procurement Strategy: Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimize cost savings and efficiency; Monitor market trends and adjust strategies accordingly
- Supplier Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers; Evaluate supplier performance and ensure timely delivery of goods and services
- Compliance: Ensure all procurement activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies; Conduct regular audits and risk assessments
Budget Management: Manage procurement budgets and track expenses. Identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement. Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the procurement team. Provide training and development opportunities to enhance team performance. Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on procurement activities, contract status, and supplier performance to senior management.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement and contract management
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Proficiency in procurement software and tools
- Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in a related field
- Professional certification (e.g., CPM, CPSM).
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
