Summary

Contracts Administrator


McIlwain is seeking an experienced Contracts Administrator to play a key role in ensuring project success and financial accuracy across the business. You’ll provide critical commercial support, help teams meet key deadlines, and ensure compliance with contractual and operational standards.

This role also involves spearheading training and ongoing support for our finance system, COINS when required.

The position is based at our Head Office in Hemmant, conveniently located a short drive to the M1 and an even shorter walk to the Hemmant train station.

Duties:

  • Review and negotiate contracts with clients, vendors and subcontractors. Ensuring that terms and conditions are compliant with legal and regulatory requirements
  • Coordinate with the head office and project teams to ensure contract requirements and deadlines are met
  • Maintain accurate and up to date contract documentation
  • Follow up and action outstanding progress payment claims
  • Become a subject matter expert, helping with the training and general user support of our financial system, COINS


Skills & Experience:

  • 3+ years experience in Contracts Administration or similar
  • Experience in the construction industry highly advantageous
  • Bachelor of Commerce/Business/Law
  • Highly skilled with Microsoft Office Suite and accounting based software
