Overview The Contractor Program Security Officer will assist in overseeing and managing physical and operational security measures to safeguard personnel, facilities, and classified information within a highly sensitive intelligence community environment. This role is responsible for ensuring compliance with federal, agency, and local security regulations, identifying and mitigating threats, and maintaining a secure operational site. This role is hybrid onsite in Herndon, VA. What will you do? * Site Security Management: * Support personnel security, physical security, document control, and classified networks. * Assist with building and maintaining classified secured areas. * Conduct regular security assessments and inspections of the tenant site to identify and address vulnerabilities. * Implement and enforce security protocols in accordance with intelligence community standards. * Manage access control systems, visitor management, and badging operations. * Threat Assessment & Response: * Monitor and assess potential physical and cyber threats to the facility and personnel. * Coordinate incident response plans and lead investigations into security breaches or suspicious activity. * Compliance & Reporting: * Develop and maintain site-specific security plans (SSSPs) and standard operating procedures (SOPs). * Prepare and submit security reports, audits, and incident logs to appropriate authorities. * Ensure compliance with relevant security clearance requirements and training. * Facility Operations: * Oversee the implementation and maintenance of physical security measures, including barriers, surveillance systems, and alarm systems. * Manage the integration of new security technologies and systems as needed. Do you have what it takes? Required: * Bachelor's degree in security or cybersecurity field or equivalent experience. * 5+ years of experience in security operations, physical security, or a related role within the intelligence or defense community. * Proven experience managing access control systems and conducting site inspections. * Strong knowledge of security regulations and standards * Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills. * Proficiency in security technologies and software. * Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Desired: * Certifications - Certified Protection Professional (CPP), Physical Security Professional (PSP), Industrial Security Professional (ISP)
