Summary

XMSTART is looking to add an entry level full-time Contract Support Assistant to our team, in Chantilly, VA. This position is 100% onsite.

Requirements


Responsibilities:

  • The Contract Support Assistant shall perform a range of contract administrative functions leading to compliant and responsive contract awards, modifications, invoicing, and other actions, including day-to-day office management support
  • Provide direct support to a Government Contracting Officer (CO) in execution of their duties and responsibilities
  • Provide contracting assistance to technical personnel involved in development of statement of work or data deliverable requirements
  • Draft contracts and contract modifications in the Government's contracting application
  • Prepare minor contract modifications and associated supporting documentation for actions such as funding, award fee, period of performance extension, and administrative modifications
  • Enter contractual information into the Government's contracting application, as required
  • Monitor and evaluate contractor performance for compliance with contract terms/conditions and ensure timely submission of contract deliverables
  • Review completed official contract files to determine all contractual actions are satisfied
  • General office management support, such as logistical support, document generation and review for content and format, filing, files maintenance, photocopying, scheduling meetings/rooms, and calendar management
  • Maintain hardcopy original contract files, conformed copy, and electronic copy withing the Government's contracting application
  • Distribute contract documents to internal and external parties
  • Maintain office files within the Windows environment
  • Organize and make compliant all contract e-folders
  • Assist with invoice processing
  • Send daily emails to Government personnel for pending invoices
  • Organize and track Government certifications and transcripts
  • Coordinate Award Fee briefings
  • Develop tracking systems for action items and other areas as necessary
  • Prepare reports as directed by the CO, Team Chief, or Senior CO
  • Generate contract reports
  • Draft closeout documents
  • Prepare and submit expired contracts into the contract close-out process


Qualifications:

  • 0-2 years of experience in government contracting
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and thoroughness in all aspects of work.
  • Quick learner with the ability to adapt to new processes, technologies, and responsibilities efficiently


Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree (preferred, but not required)


Security Clearance Requirements:

  • Active Top Secret/SCI with CI Polygraph required
