The Contracts Administrator plays a significant part in effectively monitoring, reporting, and reviewing all project administrative and financial procedures and controls. They are responsible for ensuring that all aspects of the project's contractual management requirements are met, ensuring timely project delivery, adherence to contractual obligations, and successful achievement of the company's project objectives.
Responsibilities
Administer head and subcontract agreements, ensuring formal engagement before commencement
Manage variations, progress claims, tax invoices, and security of payment matters efficiently
Oversee procurement and tender processes, ensuring alignment with budgets, approvals, and project timelines
Maintain accurate financial tracking, including forecasting and timely account processing
Support contract compliance and documentation, working closely with the Project Manager to meet reporting and delivery milestones
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or related field
4+ years’ experience as a Contracts Administrator on projects valued $1M–$20M across Defence, Education, Health, and Commercial sectors
Proficient with contract administration tools and software
Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
Proactive, adaptable, and able to work both independently and within fast-paced team environments
