JOB SUMMARY As an Operations Consultant you will provide training and support to our existing customers. With responsibilities such as: * Leading customer to Re-implementing GSS * Implement Best Practices * Able to develop custom specifications * Act as a business management consultant who understands the big picture of the company, material flow on the shop, optimize resource allocation in the company. * Develop a one to one relationship with customers by sharing a very strategic vision of the end game for them as a business JOB REQUIREMENTS Travel * 50-75% of time will be travel related (including consulting, training and ROIs) 1-2 weeks in House Activity - Projects Support, VTs, Custom Spec Support and others. Communication * Superior communication skills * Outstanding follow-up ability * Ability to communicate intricate technical and procedural matters to both technical and non-technical audiences * Ability to elicit information from others when explanations are insufficient and/or unclear and to listen effectively * Passion for working with people, and a strong interest in helping Global Shop Solutions customers succeed Problem-solving * Analytical skills sufficient to determine source and resolution of highly complex problems and think "out of the box" Learning * Demonstrable ability to learn quickly, and to remain current with rapidly developing software in an ever-changing industry Skills * Crystal, Excel, MS Access, ODBC and GAB Languages are preferable. Organization * Effective organizational and time management skills with proficiency in prioritizing tasks and balancing workload in a fast-paced environment OTHER REQUIREMENTS * Bachelor's Degree required * Minimum of 3 to 5 years work experience * Ability to work independently under minimal supervision. * Good initiative and assertiveness * Fluency in English required both verbal and written * Proficiency with Microsoft Windows Operating Systems (XP/Vista/Windows7) and Microsoft Office applications (Word/Excel, Access/Outlook/PowerPoint) POSITION BENEFITS * Eligible for certifications (PMP, Six Sigma, etc) * Stay current on the latest and ongoing custom projects been developed for other customers * Participate and teach at the quarterly User's conference when possible.
