Our talented and motivated Continuous Improvement team seeks an additional member as a Manager of Continuous Improvement. Reporting to the Director of Continuous Improvement, the incumbent will be accountable for identifying key areas for improvement and implementing initiatives and solutions to optimize the performance of systems.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Analyze existing processes and workflows to identify areas for improvement.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives that increase productivity, quality, and efficiency within bakery and pastry production.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute strategies that support operational excellence.
- Facilitate training and workshops to promote a culture of continuous improvement and operational efficiency.
- Utilize data analysis and performance metrics to drive decision-making processes.
- Proactively identify areas for improvements and work with leadership to implement problem-solving strategies to mitigate/control losses and foster a continuous improvement environment.
- Generate and submit all internal and external reports, reviews, and other documentation as required. Administer and maintain project reporting/recording systems to ensure compliance with company and legislative requirements.
- Initiate and conduct industry trends and best practice analysis. Provide findings, solutions, coaching, and communicate shared learnings to remain competitive and innovative.
Our ideal candidate will have:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in continuous improvement or proven track record in commercial bakery and/or pastry (or comparable food manufacturing facilities).
- Strong critical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- A systematic and proactive approach to learning new techniques and methodologies.
- Strong aptitude for developing relationships, along with excellent verbal and written communication skills, organizational and interpersonal skills, and ability to work in teams.
