Overview

We’re looking for a highly creative, self-sufficient Content Manager to own our social presence, content calendar, and production pipeline, both internally and for select clients. You should thrive in fast-moving environments, love hopping behind a camera (or phone), and be excited to turn raw ideas into scroll-stopping content. If you have a passion for UGC-style content, social-first storytelling, and creator culture, this role is for you.

Key Responsibilities

Content Planning & Scheduling

  • Manage and maintain the social content calendar using Buffer (or similar).
  • Strategically plan content themes and formats across TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and more, with a strong sense of U.S. TikTok culture and the ability to spot emerging content trends.
  • Coordinate internal and client-facing content production timelines.

Content Creation & Filming

  • Lead the creation of short-form videos and branded content, from scripting to shooting.
  • Film content on phone or camera (experience with both a plus).
  • Produce reactive, trend-based content quickly while keeping brand voice intact.
  • Occasionally direct or appear in content as needed.

Editing & Post-Production

  • Edit short-form videos using software like Adobe Premiere, CapCut, Final Cut Pro, or equivalent.
  • Add motion graphics, captions, sound design, and platform-specific optimizations.
  • Maintain organized asset libraries and version control.

Client & Internal Collaboration

  • Coordinate with Marketing and BD leads on deliverables.
  • Translate briefs into content outlines or shot lists.
  • Provide feedback or quality control for outsourced or freelance edits.

Qualifications
  • 2–4 years of experience in content creation, video editing, or social media management.
  • Proficiency with editing software (CapCut, Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, etc.).
  • Experience using content scheduling tools like Buffer, Later, or Hootsuite.
  • A strong portfolio of UGC-style or native social video content.
  • Hands-on experience shooting with both phones and cameras.
  • Deep understanding of trends, memes, and formats across TikTok, IG Reels, and Shorts.
  • Excellent organizational skills, able to manage multiple shoots and calendars.
  • Experience in e-commerce or TikTok Shop content is preferred.
  • Previous agency, creator economy, or brand-side experience is preferred.
  • Having connections to New York-based creators or actors is a strong plus.
  • Motion graphics or design capabilities (Adobe After Effects, Canva, etc.) is preferred.
