The Role

We’re looking for an experienced individual to take full ownership of our organic content strategy—someone who can drive brand awareness, build customer loyalty, and contribute to revenue growth through thoughtful, measurable plans. This is a hands-on, strategic role where you’ll be our go-to for keeping Sked’s content engine running smoothly and effectively.

Reporting to the Head of Marketing, you’ll plan, create, and publish content that actually cuts through the noise, whether that’s a punchy blog post, a scroll-stopping Reel, or a well-timed meme. You’ll make sure everything we put out not only looks great and sounds like us, but also gets people to click, follow, and convert.

With a strong mix of creative flair and analytical ability, you’ll use content to attract, engage, and grow our audience. You’ll also bring a strategic mindset to help us continuously improve our brand presence and performance. In this role, you can expect to:

  • Design, manage and optimise content marketing strategies, spearheading initiatives and setting content goals that align with Sked’s overarching business goals.
  • Own the content calendar and manage production across social, blog, email, and gated content.
  • Lead social media strategy and execution across Instagram, LinkedIn, and TikTok—including planning, creating/briefing, scheduling, engagement, and reporting.
  • Drive the strategy and delivery of gated content campaigns, including landing pages, popups, and emails.
  • Craft content across all formats to ensure clarity, consistency, and brand tone.
  • Keep our blog and editorial content engine humming with SEO-aware, high-impact articles.
  • Take ownership of our email program—planning, reviewing, and optimising for results
  • Manage external contractors and internal contributors to deliver high quality, engaging content that delivers results.
  • Use analytics to determine the best way to engage new audiences, increase brand awareness, generate leads and instill customer loyalty through content.
  • Stay plugged into social trends and industry shifts, and provide product feedback via hands-on use of the Sked platform.

To be effective, we believe you'll need:

  • Several years of experience in a content, social media or marketing manager role (or similar), with a strong sense of what makes content compelling.
  • Solid copywriting skills and a knack for both short- and long-form content that packs personality, and an understanding of SEO and how content drives demand and brand visibility.
  • Familiarity with buyer personas and funnel stages, and a clear understanding of the role that content plays within the broader marketing strategy.
  • A strong eye for detail in order to catch typos, grammatical errors and the nuances of niche topics.
  • Great organisation skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines and projects simultaneously.
  • A proactive, collaborative attitude and a desire to grow your content marketing and broader strategic marketing skills.
  • Results-driven mindset, the ability to prioritize impact over perfection, and a curious mind with a knack for making dry topics engaging.
  • Confidence being on camera and representing Sked with energy and authenticity (highly beneficial but not essential).
  • Familiarity with Figma, GA, Hubspot, Sked and light video editing (a bonus).

This role would suit someone with social media management and content creation experience who’s ready to take the lead on content strategy and execution—while keeping things fresh, fast, and focused on impact. You’ll be working in a small team with daily access to senior leaders, giving you the chance to learn directly from the best.

You'll also need to be based in Australia or New Zealand (but working fully remotely!).

If this sounds like somewhere you could do your best work, apply now (including a short covering note, introducing yourself + any examples of your work that you’d like to share) and I'll be in touch (Rebecca). We have a streamlined, straight-forward interview process and make decisions swiftly.
