About the role;
Drive content strategy and storytelling across two purpose-led brands.
Are you a creative storyteller with a strategic mindset and enthusiasm for building a strong brand presence across digital channels? We are looking for a Content Lead to shape and drive the content and social media strategy for P&N Bank and BCU Bank.
In this role, you’ll lead the development of compelling content marketing campaigns targeting both B2C and B2B audiences. Think blogs, eNewsletters, infographics, social posts, videos, and more. You’ll ensure all content is on-brand, customer-focused, and aligned with our commercial goals.
You’ll work cross-functionally with teams across marketing, digital, product, and retail to bring content to life that builds awareness, deepens engagement, and drives meaningful business outcomes.
Key to your success will be leading our social media strategy, creating consistent and connected content, and fostering a positive online community.

Working within a large Marketing, Customer Engagement and Brand department, you will:
- Develop and execute content strategies that align with the stages of the B2C and B2B customer journey, from awareness through to conversion, driving engagement and supporting business growth.
- Lead the production of compelling, high-quality content in various formats, including blogs, video scripts, eNewsletters, infographics, interactive quizzes, gated content, advertising copy, case studies, testimonials, industry fact sheets, and more.
- Collaborate closely with our in-house creative designers and digital experience teams to bring multimedia content to life, ensuring a seamless and impactful customer experience across all channels
- Leverage content across owned, paid, earned and shared channels to maximise reach and effectiveness at each stage of the customer journey. Ensure content aligns with broader marketing objectives.
- Develop and manage the social media content strategy, driving brand awareness, increasing engagement, and managing community interactions across social platforms.
- Oversee the content execution workflow, ensuring efficient creation, distribution and optimisation across multiple channels. Ensure content maintains brand alignment, SEO optimisation and adheres to digital marketing best practices.
- Identify and collaborate with internal subject matter experts to bring the content strategy to life, enhancing storytelling and contributing valuable insights from across the business.
- Utilise data and analytics tools to track content performance, refine strategies and improve results. Provide regular reports on performance and insights for continuous optimisation.
- Create compelling copy for brand and product campaigns, including TV and video scripts, ensuring messaging is clear, persuasive, and aligned with brand voice and objectives.
- Coach and mentor the Content Specialist, providing guidance and fostering a collaborative, innovative environment to maintain high-quality content output.
- Ensure all content complies with brand guidelines, legal requirements and regulatory standards, contributing to a consistent, positive customer experience.
- Advocate for the strategic role of content within the overall marketing strategy, educating internal teams on its importance and value.
What will you bring?
- You are a strategic thinker with a strong creative flair, experienced in developing content strategies that drive customer engagement and conversions.
- Exceptional written, verbal, and visual communication skills, including long-form and short-form content, copywriting for both B2B and B2C audiences, and advertising copy
- 6+ years experience in a content role creating B2C and B2B content that spans the buyer’s journey, from awareness-building to lead generation and conversion.
- You have hands-on experience with SEO, social media marketing and digital marketing best practices.
- You are comfortable working cross-functionally with teams to produce content that meets both customer needs and business goals.
- You thrive in a fast-paced environment, with a data-driven approach to improving content performance.
- You are passionate about leading and developing a content team to deliver outstanding results.
- A relevant qualification in Marketing, Mass media, Communications, Journalism or a related field is desirable.
