Position
We are looking for a Senior Analyst that would primarily focus on projects for the M&A / Transactions Services ("TS") practice within RubinBrown's Consulting Services Group. Our M&A / TS team provides buy-side and sell-side financial due diligence services (along with tax and IT due diligence) in domestic and international transactions ranging up to $750 million in enterprise value. We work with private equity groups, strategic acquirers and business owners on over 150 transactions a year and continue to experience significant growth across the country. This practice is a National Practice for our firm and a significant strategic priority for the organization. This role is high-profile within the organization.

We will also consider candidates from a financial audit background with a nationally known firm who want to expand their professional experience to include M&A, and be part of an entrepreneurial team and a high profile group within the firm.
Major Responsibilities
Serve as the lead analyst in performing financial due diligence in M&A transactions (Quality of Earnings (QofE) reports) , including:
Analyzing financial data to understand the impact of the Company’s key accounting policies and identify historical and projected financial and operating trends, quality of earnings and working capital considerations, and potential liabilities and risks which impact valuation and negotiation of the purchase agreement
Discussing business accounting policies, activity, results and forecasts with executive level management teams
Coordinating the work performed by multiple service lines and cross-functional teams
Communicating with various external stake holders, including clients, target management and ownership teams, investment bankers, brokers, attorneys and other relevant parties
Creating and designing tailored diligence reports communicating our findings and recommendations around key diligence and business issues in the transaction in a clear and concise manner
Serve as an analyst on multiple projects at once
Supervise and provide value-add coaching to less experienced team members and peers in support of their long-term career development
Assist in business development and growing the firm
Preferred Experience/Background/Skills
Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, or related degree (Masters preferred)
Two to five years of current and / or recent audit, consulting experience in public accounting, consulting, or industry
Credentials in area of expertise (e.g. CFA, CPA, etc.)
Strong technical skills in the areas of Finance and Accounting
Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Excel and PowerPoint required)
Possess strong communication (written and verbal), interpersonal, and analytical abilities
Demonstrated experience in managing day-to-day aspects of client relationships, with a focus on providing superior client service
Excellent leadership potential

Working Conditions
The typical office hours are 8:00 a.m. to whenever the work is done
Need to work extra hours as determined by the workload and client expectations
Travel for this position will be approximately 5%-40%
