DEA’s California Market seeks an experienced Construction Survey Project Manager. As a Construction Survey Project Manager your responsibilities will be diverse and will include a primary focus of growing a construction surveying group within the California region while delivering excellent service to our existing California Regional clients. This will be accomplished by managing and delivering exceptional quality survey projects that are on time and on budget. DEA is dedicated to utilizing cutting edge technology to deliver high quality products. You will have the support and opportunity to utilize these systems on many projects.
Additional Duties Include, But Are Not Limited To
Follow DEA’s proven marketing strategies, develop new and maintain existing client relationships within the markets and regions we currently operate.
Serve as the principal-in-charge/project manager and be the point of contact for clients and contractors when appropriate.
Work with Geomatics Group and Delivery Leaders to ensure office resources are available to complete existing project work as well as work committed to in proposals.
Provide surveying leadership and guidance to geomatics staff.
Adhere to firmwide tools, processes, and policies including project accounting, project documentation, contracting, and quality requirements.
Write proposals, develop and manage project budgets and schedules.
Quality control oversight
Coordinate with other DEA disciplines and clients.
Engage in recruiting and retention efforts to see that DEA hires the best possible talent and supports processes that encourage staff longevity.
Direct the field and office staff in the performance of their duties, mentor and coach them to advance within the survey profession as their individual abilities allow.
Basic Qualifications
BS in Surveying or related field or equivalent experience
PLS License in California
Strong written and verbal communication skills
10+ years of experience in the delivery of survey projects
Proven track record working with Caltrans on construction projects.
Experience working with California Surveying labor unions is a plus.

Anticipated salary range for this position is $125,000 - $175,000 based on experience and location
