We Search People is proud to be partnering with a leading specialist contractor renowned for their work in restoration and renovation of complex structures, including heritage buildings, infrastructure upgrades, and bespoke renovation projects. Based near New Rochelle, NY, our client is seeking a skilled and driven Construction Project Manager to join their expert team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a solid foundation in civil construction and structural renovation who thrives in managing multi-disciplinary teams and enjoys bringing aging or damaged structures back to life.


Your Role:

As the Construction Project Manager, you’ll lead high-impact restoration and renovation projects from planning through to completion, ensuring they’re delivered safely, on time, and within budget. You’ll play a hands-on role while mentoring junior staff and interfacing directly with clients and stakeholders.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead day-to-day project management and oversee field operations
  • Manage budgets, forecasts, schedules, and P&L for assigned projects
  • Collaborate with engineers, architects, and consultants to deliver high-quality restoration work
  • Conduct site visits and supervise on-site execution to ensure quality and compliance
  • Review design drawings, technical specs, and construction documentation
  • Oversee cost estimation and bid preparation processes
  • Act as the main point of contact for clients, ensuring clear and timely communication
  • Lead and mentor a team of up to 10, including APMs, Project Engineers, and support staff
  • Provide technical guidance and support to project engineers and junior team members


Your Profile:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 5–10+ years of experience in project management within heavy civil, structural, or restoration sectors
  • Proven ability to manage complex construction projects with multiple stakeholders
  • Strong understanding of construction methods, budgeting, and scheduling
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and construction bidding/estimating software
  • Experience with historical or structural restoration is highly desirable
