Project Manager
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee and drive the successful execution of construction projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and monitoring all aspects of the project lifecycle, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will also have experience in life science, data centers, manufacturing, education, healthcare (OSHPD), or civic/DSA construction projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead project planning sessions and develop comprehensive project plans that merge customer requirements with company goals.
- Coordinate and manage all project activities, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
- Monitor project progress and performance, making adjustments as necessary to ensure successful completion.
- Conduct risk management assessments to identify potential project risks and implement mitigation strategies.
- Ensure compliance with all safety standards, building codes, and regulatory requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
- Facilitate communication and collaboration among project stakeholders, including clients, team members, and subcontractors.
- Conduct contract negotiations and manage vendor relationships to ensure the best outcomes for the project.
- Oversee site management activities, ensuring that quality control measures are adhered to and that project specifications are met.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates and maintain project budgets, identifying areas for cost savings.
- Lead and mentor project team members, fostering a productive and positive work environment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Project Manager in the construction industry, preferably with a focus on healthcare, life sciences, or civic projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction management principles and practices, including scheduling and budgeting.
- Experience with risk management and quality control processes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate teams.
- Familiarity with relevant building codes and regulatory requirements, including OSHPD and DSA standards.
- Proficient in project management software, such as Primavera or similar tools.
- Strong negotiation skills and experience in contract management.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
