Commercial Construction General Contractor hiring a Project Manager

Your new company :

Our client, a commercial General Contractor based in Loudoun County, VA, who specializes in design-build projects involving retail/big box stores, aviation industrial buildings, and storage maintenance. This company is in expansion mode and looking to hire a Project Manager. This is a permanent, full-time position with the hiring manager looking for a Project Manager that can take full responsibility for the delivery of a project while still gaining knowledge on a daily basis.

Your new role :

The successful candidate will be in the role of Project Manager, having responsibility for the successful delivery of multi-million projects in the DMV. As a Construction Project Manager, you will be responsible for developing detailed project plans that encompass timelines, budgets, and resource allocation for design-based build projects.

You will take ownership of aspects of the project, ensuring successful outcomes and maintaining daily contact with clients. Your role will involve using Autodesk construction cloud, developing pre-construction packages, conducting project meetings, and maintaining project schedules using Microsoft Project or Primavera Software.

What you'll need to succeed :

• 4–5 years of Construction Project Management experience working for a commercial general contractor.
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 hours preferred, but not required.
• Strong skills in project administration, including RFIs, submittals, AIA billing, change orders, etc.
• Ability to maintain adherence to safety standards and exceed profit expectations.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills to supervise Assistant Project Managers and coordinate with Superintendents.
