Position: Construction Project Manager

Location: Oakland, CA, Dublin, CA, San Ramon, CA

Type: Contract

Rate: $58/hr to $70/hr

Position Overview:

Seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead and support the rollout of a large-scale construction program. The role involves construction management process improvements, oversight of capital projects, and performance reporting. Ideal for professionals with a background in utilities or infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze and improve construction management processes and internal controls
• Oversee construction contracts and monitor large capital projects
• Develop and implement policies, procedures, reporting frameworks, and IT support systems
• Conduct project reviews including assessments of project completion, schedule delays, change order recovery, and cost estimates
• Collect and analyze field data; document findings and prepare narrative reports and presentations
• Utilize Excel, PowerPoint, and data visualization tools to generate dashboards and reports

Desired Skills:

• Professional Engineer (PE) or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification (preferred, not required)
• Familiarity with Python and SQL (nice to have)

Preferred Skills:

• Advanced Excel skills (including macros); strong cost analytics
• Experience with budgeting and forecasting

Previous experience in the power and utility industry is highly desirable
