The challenge is to:

• Oversees andleads retail store construction projects. Responsible for handlingbudgets, schedules, procurement, quality and risk for individual storedevelopments (new/renovation/reinstatement) projects, including planning,design, construction, procurement, project delivery and closeout. Theindividual must -
• Demonstrate capability to prepare, draft, read, understand and apply standards to complex documents/drawings involving store development projects, including but not limited to contract documents, formal correspondence, technical provisions, presentations, government requirements and regulations, surveys and drawings
• Interface directly with key collaborators and project peers (Operations / Commercial/ Design / Marketing / Engineering / Facilities Management / Finance) to help define project requirements, prepare the scope of work, project delivery resource requirements, cost estimate/ budget, work plan schedule and milestones, quality control, and risk identification
• Identify external project delivery resources from pre-qualified lists or through individual project qualification process; conducts standard to complex requests for proposals; completes bid analysis; leads evaluation interviews, and recommends resources to the Head of Projects
• Works across functional teams to value engineer schemes and deliver a year-on-year master schedule, build cost reductions, without impacting the customer experience and/or project quality
• Be prepared to accept other assignments relating to construction and projects from the Head of Projects
• Theindividual will lead the delivery of store development, using bestpractices and technical knowledge to provide project guidance anddirection to achieve project goals
• Implementeffective communication plans for meetings and written reports/meetingminutes to keep collaborators and line management advised of keyproject/programme updates
• Ensureproject data integrity and documentation is accurate, timely andcoordinated
• Supervisesprogress of each project against goals, objectives, approved budgets, andapproved timelines. Reports status and variance. Builds action plans tomeet objectives, budget, schedule, and catch up delays
• ImplementsProject Management routines to assess change requests, makerecommendations, secure business and line management approvals, and issuechange orders. Assesses change requests to evaluate impacts to scope,budget, schedule, quality and risk

Do you have experience in Store construction?

• Tertiaryeducated in Architectural Studies, Interior design, Surveying,Engineering, Construction Management or a related field
• 5-10 yearsof chain store development experience in F&B, FMCG, Banking industry
• Demonstratedability to identify complex project risks, lead constructability reviews,develop risk mitigation and contingency plans, and implement action plansto reduce or eliminate project risks
• Demonstratedknowledge of projects and project management within the context ofbusiness results
• Not crucial,but advantageous, any professional membership, Project ManagementProfessional (PMP) [certified by the Project Management Institute (PMIand/or Certified Construction Manager (CCM) would be desirable
• Ability tocomprehend, analyse, and interpret business documents. Ability to respondeffectively to the most sensitive issues. Ability to write decent reports
• Ability tocollaborate and negotiate effectively with top management and collaboratorgroups to propel actions
• Ability toforecast and prepare cost estimates
• Has a trackrecord of working with Design, Engineering and Cost Management functionsto deliver outstanding stores
• Expertknowledge of building standard/ statutory requirements and anunderstanding of store licensing requirements is essential
• Strongknowledge on E&M system and ability to provide support for day-to-dayengineering design and practices for other team members
