Job Location: East Coast-based role with close proximity (less than 30 miles) to major airports to support national travel requirement for regular onsite/center visits within local and national markets 85% of the time.

About The Role
The Learning Experience - World Headquarters is seeking a Construction Project Manager to join our team. As a TLE Construction Project Manager, your primary responsibility is to serve as a liaison between our company and third-party developers responsible for delivering
turnkey buildings. This role focuses on ensuring developers and their general contractors adhere to company-approved
plans, specifications, and quality standards while troubleshooting issues that arise during construction. The
ideal candidate has a strong background in commercial construction, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with internal teams/stakeholders, landlords, contractors, and vendors.
Key Responsibilities - Project Oversight & Developer Coordination:
- Key team member facilitating project transfer from entitlement/ pre-construction phase to the construction phase.
- Regularly conduct site visits to ensure developers and general contractors follow approved plans and specifications.
- Provide guidance to developers and general contractors on best practices, required standards, and expectations.
- Proactively serve as liaison between corporate leadership and developers and general contractors to maintain alignment on project goals.
- Problem-Solving & Issue Resolution:
- Identify potential construction delays, equipment shortages, and supply chain issues early and assist in finding solutions.
- Work with developers and general contractors as well as vendors to mitigate disruptions and ensure timely completion.
- Provide alternative recommendations for materials or construction methods when needed.
- Quality Control & Compliance:
- Ensure adherence to design standards, safety regulations, submittal requirements and construction best practices.
- Verify that all construction work meets company specifications before project turnover.
- Address non-compliance issues by working with developers and contractors to implement corrections.
- Vendor & Stakeholder Coordination:
- Collaborate with key vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials and installation of critical equipment.
- Facilitate communication between developers, general contractors, corporate teams, and external stakeholders to keep projects on track.
- Assist in resolving any contractor disputes or misunderstandings related to specifications or expectations.
- Project Reporting & Documentation:
- Document site visit findings, construction progress, and any deviations from the approved plans.
- Provide regular updates to the corporate construction team and leadership.
- Track project milestones and flag any potential delays that require corporate intervention.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in ground up commercial, retail development and construction project management; preferably with a multi-unit retail company with an emphasis on new stores.
- Experience working as Owners Representative (Preferred).
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Business, or related field preferred.
- Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, etc.).
- Must be able to travel up to 75% to visit job sites.
- Ability to read and understand architectural plans.
- Strong knowledge of land development processes including permitting, site and building construction, and project closeout.
- Understanding of general real estate practices, including leases, work letters, etc.
