About the Company:

• Commercial General Contractor with an excellent reputation in the market. They have been in business for 45 years and are seeking a Project Engineer (Construction) with 2-3 years experience on construction projects
• Must be local to DFW Metroplex
• They believe in their ability train, coach, and develop from the bottom to the top
• Large commercial projects preferred
• Company will not provide sponsorship

Select Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain material tracking logs
• Research, develop and write detailed RFI’s
• Coordinate with Design team for efficient responses to submittals and RFI’s
• Present in weekly project status meetings
• Assist with project forecasting and month end financial reporting
• Manage changes and ensure proper distribution of construction documents and/or project scope to ensure that the most current documents are being used
• Coordinate with project team to ensure materials are available when needed on site
• Review and verify constructability of plans and specifications
• Contribute to the buy-out process by requesting and reviewing bids and aligning budgets as necessary to create subcontracts
• Perform detailed review and processing of project submittals

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related discipline
• Minimum 2 years' experience in construction industry, preferably on ground up construction
• Efficient knowledge in Procore is a must
• K12 or Higher Education Construction Project Experience Preferred, while all large commercial projects will be considered
