Job Summary:
The Construction Project Engineer supports project execution by managing documentation, coordinating between the field and office, and assisting in planning and administration. This role plays a crucial part in maintaining project schedules, quality control, and compliance with specifications and contractual requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the preparation, review, and tracking of submittals, RFIs (Requests for Information), and change orders.
- Coordinate between engineering, construction, vendors, and subcontractors.
- Maintain project documentation, logs, and records to ensure compliance and proper reporting.
- Support scheduling activities and ensure alignment with project milestones.
- Attend meetings and assist in preparing meeting minutes, reports, and presentations.
- Assist in ensuring that work complies with all applicable codes, standards, and specifications.
- Use engineering software and tools for document control and design verification (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, Procore).
- Monitor procurement and delivery schedules.
- Liaise with field staff to ensure that construction activities align with plans and specifications.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree Construction Management, or a related field.
- 0–3 years of experience in engineering or construction
- Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and documentation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and construction/project management software.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with project management platforms (e.g., Procore, Primavera, Autodesk Build).
- Knowledge of construction means, methods, and materials.
- Familiarity with safety protocols and quality assurance procedures.
