Catawba Valley Engineering and Testing has a full-time Construction Materials Testing/Geotechnical Laboratory Technician position available. The primary duties will be performing in-house testing of soil, concrete, and asphalt under the direct supervision of the Laboratory Supervisor. This position would be great for anyone looking to begin a career in a math, science, or engineering field.

Duties of the Laboratory Technician include:

• Receiving and identifying lab samples to be processed within the lab.
• Preparing and testing samples in accordance with material testing standards.
• Maintaining clear test results to be turned in to lab management and project engineers.
• Calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of equipment and instrumentation used for testing.
• Maintenance and organization of laboratory facility.
  
  
  

Qualities of Laboratory Technician should include:
