Summary

The ideal candidate for this position will be responsible for overseeing all on-site construction activities performed by the homebuilder, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and according to the plans and specifications. Manage the contractor to coordinate schedules in accordance with Baseline Contract Schedules, ensure document and information flow, and adherence to project quality expected in high end residential construction.

 

Responsibilities

  • Supervision and Coordination: Oversee all on-site construction activities of the homebuilder. Identify any deficiencies and or issues observed timely and with proper notification to the homebuilder.
  • Scheduling: Monitor project schedules, track progress, and report any inconsistencies observed.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that work meets quality standards and conforms to plans and specifications.
  • Safety Management: Assist in enforcing safety regulations and procedures on the job site.
  • Problem Solving: Identify and resolve issues that may arise during the construction process. Interface with design professional(s) to ensure accurate information flow for the efficient build of the home(s).
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with management, clients, and other stakeholders.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate daily logs and other project documentation necessary.
  • Reporting: Provide regular reports as required by management including but not limited to Look Ahead Schedules; Updated Procurement Schedules; Submittal and RFI Logs. Assist management with possible cost issues as they arise.


Skills and Qualifications

  • Construction Experience: Extensive experience in construction management and supervision of custom-production homebuilding, with a strong understanding of building codes, plans, and specifications.
  • Leadership and Management: Ability to lead and motivate teams.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with a variety of stakeholders. Engage in “teamwork” type dialogue to represent shared focus on the success of the project(s).
  • Problem-Solving and Decision-Making: Ability to identify and resolve problems quickly and effectively; including experienced decision making specifically with field related issues that may arise.
  • Organizational and Time Management: Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently.
  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with construction software such a CPM Scheduling (ie P6 or Microsoft Project; Procore; Builder Trend, as well as Microsoft Excel and Word.


Education and Training

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent: A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Technical Training or College Degree: Additional technical training or a college degree in a related field, such as construction management or engineering is preferred.
  • OSHA Training – Minimum 10 Hours; 30 Hour preferred
  • Multi-lingual highly encouraged (English and Spanish)
