Construction Manager
Position Overview
The Construction Manager will oversee and coordinate construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires strong leadership, project management skills, and experienced in compliance with SWPPP and OSHA regulations. They should have experience with multi-family/ apartment construction projects. Additionally, knowledge of underground utilities and mass grading projects is a plus..
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and manage construction projects from start to finish according to the schedule, specifications, and budget.
- Oversee site management and ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes.
- Negotiate contracts with vendors and subcontractors to secure favorable terms.
- Monitor project progress and make adjustments as necessary to ensure deadlines are met.
- Conduct quality control inspections to ensure work meets required standards and specifications.
- Develop and manage project budgets, including cost estimation and resource management.
- Prepare and present regular project updates to stakeholders and senior management.
- Implement risk management strategies to minimize potential issues during construction.
- Lead and mentor construction teams, fostering a collaborative work environment.
- Utilize construction software and tools (e.g., AutoCAD, SWPPP, Primavera) to enhance project efficiency.
Qualifications
- Experience with multi-family and apartment construction projects.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Construction Manager or similar role in multi-family construction.
- Proficiency in construction software (e.g., Newstar, Mass Grading, SWPPP, Primavera).
- Strong knowledge of construction planning, scheduling, and resource management.
- Familiarity with safety regulations, building codes, and quality control standards.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with budget management and cost estimation.
- OSHA certification and knowledge of safety protocols in construction environments.
