Now

we are looking for a Construction Manager in our office in Nivelles or

Mechelen. As construction manager you oversee and coordinate all on-site

construction activities to ensure the project is delivered safely, on time,

within budget, and to quality standards.

By joining the IPS Buildings division, you'll have the opportunity to start working in Belgium on exciting projects for clients like US investment funds, developers such as Azora, BSB, and Cainiao, as well as private industrial companies including Ab InBev, GSK, DOW, and P&G.

From expanding educational campuses and renovating hotels to developing logistics hubs, offices, and warehouses — these projects are currently waiting for you to join.

What is the role About?

Site Operations & Supervision

  • Plan

and manage daily site activities, supervising workforce and subcontractors.

  • Coordinate

material deliveries and resolve technical or logistical issues.

  • Organize

site meetings and report progress to the Project Manager.

Contract & Procurement Management

  • Administer

contracts, track changes, and support procurement to prevent delays.

  • Review

and coordinate submittals, shop drawings, and change orders.

Cost, Schedule & Documentation

  • Review

payment requests, monitor costs and schedules, and maintain project

documentation.

Stakeholder Communication

  • Ensure

clear communication among architects, engineers, consultants, and the client.

Health, Safety & Environmental Compliance

  • Enforce

HSE measures and environmental regulations, including green certifications if

needed.

Project Handover & Commissioning

  • Manage

final inspections, punch lists, testing, and commissioning for timely project

handover.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
  • 5 to 10 years of experience in construction, with at least 3 years as a Construction Manager.
  • Proficiency with construction management tools (MS Projects, Primavera, AutoCAD, LetsBuild/Aproplan, etc.).
  • Strong knowledge of construction contract management and site operations.
  • Experience with HSE protocols and environmental compliance; knowledge of green certification processes is a plus.
  • BIM construction management skills are an added value.
  • Fluent in English as well as Dutch and/or French.
  • Willing to travel within Belgium and France; valid driver’s license required.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining collaborative relationships with diverse project teams.
  • Highly organized, reliable, and proactive with a continuous improvement mindset.
