Position: Construction Manager -Sculptures & Special Elements
Location: Dubai, UAE
Employment Type: Full-time, On-site
Salary range: 5,000 - 8,000 DHS
Role Summary
We’re seeking an experienced Construction Manager to drive the successful delivery of custom sculptures and specialty architectural features. You will own every phase—from interpreting design drawings and sourcing materials to managing fabrication, installation, budgeting, and timeline tracking—ensuring projects are completed on schedule, on budget, and to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Leadership & Coordination
- Interpret technical drawings and translate design intent into actionable work plans.
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, coordinating internal teams, artists, fabricators, and installers.
- Market Sourcing & Supplier Management
- Leverage in-depth knowledge of the Emirati art, fabrication, and construction markets to identify and negotiate with vendors.
- Source high-quality materials and subcontractors at competitive rates, securing the best value without compromising on quality.
- Budget & Timeline Control
- Prepare and manage project budgets; monitor costs, approve expenditures, and minimize overruns.
- Track milestones and deadlines, proactively addressing risks to keep projects on time.
- Quality Assurance & Compliance
- Conduct regular shop visits and inspections to verify workmanship, finishes, and adherence to specifications.
- Enforce UAE construction and safety regulations (including working-at-height protocols) throughout fabrication and installation.
- Stakeholder Communication
- Serve as the primary liaison between clients, design teams, and project stakeholders—providing clear status updates, managing expectations, and resolving issues.
- Installation Oversight
- Supervise on-site rigging, lifting, and placement of artworks and specialty elements, coordinating rope-access or crane operations as required.
- Ensure all installations are secure, plumb, and aligned to drawing specifications.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related discipline.
- 5+ years’ experience managing construction or installation projects—preferably in sculptural, architectural, or high-end decorative work.
- Deep familiarity with the UAE/Emirati market for materials, fabricators, and subcontractors.
- Proven ability to read and interpret architectural and fabrication drawings.
- Strong negotiation skills and track record of sourcing competitively priced, high-quality materials.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder-management abilities.
- Proficient in project management tools (MS Project, Primavera, or equivalent) and MS Office.
