Role Overview:

We are looking for a Construction Manager to join our mission to move Hongkongers through the wonders of sport—by shaping and elevating the physical spaces where this mission comes to life.

As part of our Retail Operations team, you’ll manage store construction, renovation, and maintenance projects across our Hong Kong network. You’ll partner with internal teams and external contractors to deliver high-quality spaces—on time, within budget, and in line with Decathlon’s values.

This is a 2-year contract role with the potential for extension based on performance and future expansion needs.

Your Responsibilities:

• Manage end-to-end store construction and renovation projects—from concept and planning to execution and handover
• Act as the go-to person for all construction and maintenance matters across stores
• Run tenders, manage vendor relationships, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards
• Conduct regular site visits and track project performance (budget, timeline, deliverables)
• Handle post-project processes: snagging, as-built documentation, O&M manuals, and warranty records
• Oversee the preventive maintenance schedule and ensure store infrastructure remains safe, functional, and aligned with brand standards
• Partner closely with expansion, operations, and other internal teams
  
  
  

What you bring:

• A strong passion for sports – this is a must!
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering (Civil, Structural, or related field), or relevant discipline
• At least 5 years of experience managing construction projects in Hong Kong (retail sector preferred)
• Knowledge of local regulations, building codes, and permitting processes
• Proven experience in contractor/vendor management, budget tracking, and project close-out
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills; able to manage multiple priorities
• Fluent in Cantonese and English (Mandarin is a plus)
