Summary

Job Title: Construction Estimator Job Description The estimator will be responsible for providing estimating data for both conceptual and hard bid estimates. This role will support the Development, Construction, and Property Management divisions of the company. Responsibilities * Coordinate traditional plan/spec hard-dollar estimates/bids. * Generate conceptual estimates with detailed scope descriptions and unit price breakdowns. * Generate and maintain in-house unit price data for all components of work across various regions of the country. * Assist project managers with subcontract award and bid analysis. * Communicate budgets and schedules with clients and project managers. * Create and maintain relationships with the subcontractor community. * Provide cost analysis to clients. * Work with project executives to establish Guaranteed Maximum Prices (GMPs). * Maintain job cost history analysis required to provide cost data for future projects. * Manage paperwork requirements of bidding and proposals. * Participate in marketing proposals and presentations. * Occasionally travel to job sites as needed. Essential Skills * 4-7 years of construction estimating experience, preferably with a general contractor. * Experience with conceptual estimating and lump sum bid estimating. * Ability to estimate various trades and solicit and evaluate subcontractor bids. * Ability to perform take-offs and price various trade works. * Experience creating construction project budgets. * Proficiency with Microsoft Project, Excel, and Word; as well as estimating and project management software. * Bachelor's degree in a construction-related field, civil engineering, or architectural design, or equivalent experience. * Proven record of providing excellent internal and external customer service. Additional Skills & Qualifications * Experience using Bluebeam or Procore. * Experience with large-scale office, medical office, retail, warehouse, light industrial, tenant improvements, and mid-rise residential projects. Work Environment The role is 100% in-office, 5 days a week. After 6 months of employment, there is an option to work remotely one day a week. Working hours are from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $43.00 - $58.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
