Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Construction Estimator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing, analyzing, and managing cost estimates for various construction projects, ensuring accuracy and compliance with local building codes and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform quantity take-offs from construction drawings and specifications
- Conduct thorough cost analysis to develop accurate project estimates
- Collaborate with project managers to determine project scopes and budgets
- Prepare and present comprehensive bid packages to clients and stakeholders
- Negotiate contracts and pricing with subcontractors and suppliers
- Review contracts and provide technical support during the construction process
- Ensure all estimates comply with local building codes and standards
- Maintain accurate records of estimates, revisions, and communications
- Work closely with project teams to facilitate effective communication and teamwork
- Utilize Microsoft Office and other software tools for documentation and reporting
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field
- Proven experience as a Construction Estimator or in a similar role
- Strong skills in quantity take-offs and cost analysis
- Familiarity with construction estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Knowledge of local building codes and regulations
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills
- Experience with project scheduling and budgeting is a plus
