Masonry Estimator

We are a Regional Masonry Contractor that is seeing tremendous growth out of our Houston office. We manage large commercial Masonry projects - and work with leading reputable GC's.

If you have construction estimating experience, we want to talk to you! Masonry experience is a plus but not necessary!

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Construction Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately estimating the costs of masonry projects, ensuring that all aspects of the work are accounted for and that bids are competitive and profitable.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review project plans and specifications to prepare accurate estimates of materials, labor, and time required for masonry construction.
  • Conduct site visits to assess existing conditions and gather data necessary for the estimation process.
  • Collaborate with project managers and construction teams to understand project scopes and timelines.
  • Prepare cost estimates and detailed reports for masonry projects, including breakdowns of material and labor costs.
  • Analyze pricing data from suppliers and subcontractors to ensure competitive bidding and cost control.
  • Maintain organized records of estimates, proposals, and contracts for future reference.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Construction Estimator, Masonry or related fields is a big plus.
  • Strong knowledge of estimating methods, and industry standards.
  • Excellent mathematical and analytical skills to create accurate estimates.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills to work effectively with clients and vendors.
