Summary
Review project plans, specifications, and all contract documents
Determine capability in consultation with senior staff
Produce accurate take-offs and bids
Assist customer PMs in value engineering and alternates when asked
Communicate effectively with project managers to clarify project details, review addenda, and keep up to date on changing project details.
Develop relationships with customer project managers to drive future business
Aid the rest of the NKC team in monitoring and analyzing job performance
Qualifications
Minimum of 1 year of construction estimating experience with a proven track record of achievement
Must be organized and methodical in managing many simultaneous bid projects
Must be skilled at building and maintaining strong relationships
Experience with bidding software such as Stack, Blue Beam, etc.
Personable and professional in all settings
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Capable with typical technology of the workplace - MS Office Suite, CRM software, etc.
Must reside near Chesapeake, VA
Valid driver's license
