Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Conservation Intern located in San Francisco, CA. The Conservation Intern will support the Zoo’s conservation head-start projects by assisting with daily animal care and data collection for on-going research partnerships. This role will work closely with Conservation Specialists to provide daily care for California Red-legged Frogs, Southern Mountain Yellow-legged Frogs, Sierra Nevada Yellow-legged Frogs, Foothill Yellow-legged Frogs, Yosemite Toads, Northwestern Pond Turtles, and San Francisco Gartersnakes, all local species that the team raises for release into the National Parks and Forests in California.
