Job Description: The successful candidate will operate as a member of Corporate Engineering San Diego department. Configuration Management (CM) manages changes to the products configuration throughout its lifecycle while ensuring that company confidential information (CCI) is archived and distributed according to company policies and best commercial practices.
Job responsibilities consists of day-to-day CM operations including review and evaluation for new part product configurations, including applicable drawings, documents and lower-indentured parts listed within Bill of Material (BOMs). Verification that parts, drawings, and documents submitted for release contain appropriate item/revision identification, legal statements and legends, and meets CM standards and policies. Release of Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and Lifecycle Changes (LCs), establishing the revision and lifecycle of parts, drawings, and documents which feed downstream systems. Determine/verify approval requirements for ECOs based on commodity type of the affected items (HW parts, ASICs, drawings or documents) and route ECO through CCB workflow. Ensure released drawings and documents are compliant with CM policy, CCI policy and business rules.

Minimum Qualifications - 4+ years industry experience in the following areas:
Configuration Management experience, including end-to-end product release support for design documentation
Application of CM principles
Exercise of judgement in translating CM guidelines into specific actions, information gathering, handling exceptions and making decisions among possible solutions to accomplish engineering and business objectives
Preferred Qualifications Additional skills/experience a plus:
Experience working in Agile, QUALCOMMs product lifecycle management (PLM) system
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Extensive experience with MS Office, especially Outlook, Excel and Word
Ability to prioritize work assignments
Experience working with cross-functional teams, including Program Management, Quality, Business Processes, Supply Management, Sales Operations, IT, and Engineering
General Knowledge of Integrated Circuit (IC) development
Must be detailed oriented and organized
Must be customer-oriented and have refined customer service skills
Knowledge of configuration management practices
Flexible and open to change
Education Requirements Preferred: Bachelors, Business Administration or equivalent experience
Comments for Suppliers: 4 month assignment with emphasize on Excel attribution mapping, ECO and Item creation, document attachment, ECO review and workflow routing within Agile PLM.
