Role We are looking for an experienced Network and Systems engineer with a focus on Point of Sale Software. The successful applicant will join our close-knit team in the Sydney office supporting clients across the country both from our Service-desk based in Sydney and by client site visits involving System and Network and software implementation, improvement and support . Reporting to the IT Manager you will be required to carry out the following:- * Monitoring and reporting on all network issues. Develop and Deploy networks and ensure they are running to optimal levels * Establish the networking environment by designing system. configuration, directing system installation and defining, documenting and enforcing system standards. *Systems and Network fault identification. Optimisation of Software, Systems and Networks *Design and implement new solutions and improve resilience of the current environment. * Monitoring all issues and maintenance to prevent down time and ensure smooth operation * Maximise network performance by monitoring performance, troubleshooting network problems and outages, scheduling upgrades and collaborating with network architects on network optimisation. *Undertake data network fault investigations in local and wide area environments using information from multiple sources. *Secure network systems by establishing and enforcing policies, and defining and monitoring access. *Support and administer firewall environments in line with IT security policy. *Upgrade data network equipment to the latest stable firmware releases. *Configure routing and switching equipment, hosted IP voice services and firewalls. * 1st, 2nd level Helpdesk and Troubleshooting Technical Skills Network administration and support Desktop Support Systems support MS Office Suite POS Software experience ideally Spinnaker Software or similar Windows Server Active Directory Networking optimisation Qualifications Minimum 4 years in a similar role Bachelor or Science (IT) or similar related qualification or 5 years in related field MCSE and/or CCNA or CCNP or 5 years plus Systems and Networking experience Salary $70,000-$90,000 PA Job Types: Permanent, Full-time Pay: $70,000.00 – $90,000.00 per year Schedule: 8 hour shift Supplementary Pay: Performance bonus Ability to commute/relocate: Sydney, NSW: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required) Work Authorisation: Australia (Preferred) Application Deadline: 30/04/2023 Expected Start Date: 01/03/2023
