Job Description Auto-Owners Insurance, a top-rated insurance carrier, is seeking a motivated individual to join our IT Division as a Computer Support Technician. Essential Functions: * Prepare and install new computer equipment * Troubleshoot, repair and maintain all personal computers, laptops, monitors, printers, projectors and computer related peripherals * Install company approved software * Create purchase requests * Order equipment * Create and maintain computer and laptop images. Other Functions: * May travel to assist with setting up new branch locations, which may require overnight stays * Assist with new technologies * Coordinate distribution of software releases to associates * Assist with other duties as assigned within the department or elsewhere on request Desired Skills and Experience * Exercise sound judgment and be able to resolve problems * Maintain a professional business image * Increase knowledge through Company approved education programs * Work effectively with associates at all levels * Communicate effectively via e-mail, phone or in person * A solid understanding of how computers and other computer related devices work is essential * Two or four year college degree or equivalent job experience or training Benefits Auto-Owners offers a wide range of career opportunities, and we are seeking talent that will help us continue our long tradition of success.
