Position: Computer Science / ICT Teacher (with Lower Secondary Math)

Grades: Grades 6 to 9 (Cambridge Lower Secondary & IGCSE)

Location: The Aalam International School

About the Role:

\We are looking for a passionate and thoughtful educator to join our learning community at Aalam. The role primarily involves teaching Computer Science and ICT for Cambridge Lower Secondary and IGCSE levels. In addition, the teacher should be comfortable teaching Mathematics for Lower Secondary learners.

Key Responsibilities:

• Facilitate engaging and hands-on learning experiences in Computer Science / ICT, with a focus on real-world application and creative problem-solving.
• Deliver Lower Secondary Math lessons in a way that builds conceptual understanding and confidence.
• Design assessments, projects, and learning materials that align with the Cambridge curriculum while reflecting Aalam’s alternative and child-centric philosophy.
• Observe and support individual learning journeys, adapting methods to suit diverse learners.
• Collaborate with the broader teaching team in creating interdisciplinary and meaningful learning experiences.
• Maintain open, respectful communication with students and support them in becoming curious, independent thinkers.

Who You Are:

• You hold a relevant degree and have experience teaching Computer Science/ICT and Math in the Cambridge curriculum.
• You are open-minded, reflective, and comfortable working in a non-conventional, learner-led environment.
• You enjoy working with adolescents and value relationship-based education.
• You believe in fostering curiosity, digital literacy, and critical thinking over rote learning.
