Support: Provide ongoing technical support for customers using Link Plus and other Registry Plus tools Develop tools and methods to streamline support for customers using the Registry Plus products Development: Provide systems design and programming support for CDC/NPCR software: specifically Link Plus Develop a Link Plus API that can be integrated into a central cancer registry data system to enhance record linkage and consolidation Convert Link Plus to .NET from Visual Basic Implement the following enhancements to Link Plus: zip code comparison function, phone # comparator, frequency of a variable to assist users in finding missing values Provide ongoing development support for Link Plus based upon a priority list that is updated by the client on a monthly basis Actively participate in Developers Meetings and contributes to the feature sets for enhancements of Registry Plus products Prepare both technical documentation for customer-based IT support staff and training materials for end users of Registry Plus products Experience: Formal training or (8) years professional experience in application development Knowledge of fundamental algorithms and data structures Demonstrated specific experience in programming with C or C++ on a Windows platform Formal statistical training or equivalent experience developing probabilistic record linkage applications (optional) Skills: Able to apply complex statistical methods to design matching protocols using VB, .NET, and C++, and other common Microsoft-compatible development techniques Transferable skills (skills pertinent to most any job: e.g., liaising, etc.) Personality or self management skills (e.g., attention to details, etc.) Education Requirement: Basic educational background required B.S.
