Position Description: Develop and write computer programs to process independent real-time, multi-asset financial instrument trading platform. Specifically, program and maintain the Fortex BackOffice software for settlement and clearing in financial trading using VC++, VB, Java and SQL. Program data mining applications and analyze financial trading and market data. Use object oriented methods to analyze, model and design the Fortex software processes. Program, maintain and optimize the Fortex MS-SQL and Access database. Provide tie-2 technical support for Fortex trading systems. Analyze and optimize the Fortex system and network to enhance system capacity and stability. May be assigned to various projects utilizing skills. Position Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related and 3 years of experience in job offered or a related programming or software/systems engineering position. Experience and/or education must include: - Experience in financial trading software systems programming; Experience in object-oriented and distributed programming in VC++ with a financial institution; Experience in database development and management with MS SQL Server; Knowledge of data structures and algorithms; Experience in organization and optimization of financial system for real-time heavy data communication and storage; Experience in network design, management, and maintenance.
