Job Title: Component Design Engineer//mechanical design (Hybrid)

Location: Indianapolis, IN 46225

Expected Duration: 12+ Months (with the possibility of extension)

Job Description:

• The below are the key points to screen for:
• Must have a Bachelor of Science in Engineering - non-negotiable
• The ideal candidate will have 10 years of Aerospace experience (they will look at candidates with 5+ years' experience)
• Focus will be on mechanical design
• This team focuses on power transmission (gears, bearings, shafts)
• Want someone who can work with test results, and understand whether the testing satisfies the requirements
• 3D modeling software experience (NX preferred)

Ansys - nice to have

• Will be doing some design/presentation, possibly some failure investigation
• They want someone who has some understanding of analysis, but not necessarily an Analyst. Please be sure to ask candidates their current or most recent % breakdown of analysis vs. design.
• The ideal candidate will have an answer of 60-75% design vs 25-40% of analysis.
• Please provide the candidate's response either in a writeup or within the resume upon submission (50/50 will be looked at, but less than 50% design is non-negotiable)
