Summary


WSH Management is currently seeking a Compliance Specialist to join our Compliance Team. You will play a pivotal role in managing our Northern California properties. This position will have a hybrid work environment.


Compliance Specialist Job Duties

The Compliance Specialist will be responsible for any related compliance that may be necessary to ensure accuracy and compliance with all LIHTC properties.

  • Audits Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) move in and recertification files for all LIHTC financed properties.
  • Prepares compliance files when required. Prepare resident lease documents, provide residents with certification standards and the collection of verification documents related to the Move-in certification process, tenant relations, prepare and check the accuracy of Move-in verification documents, and the preparation and submission of related Move-in documents to compliance manager.
  • Conducts audits of assigned compliance paperwork at communities.
  • Reviews Move-in compliance paperwork for new move-ins prior to move-in date.
  • Reviews re-certifications for accuracy and compliance.

  • Salary: $31.00 to $33.00 per hour

Compliance Specialist Qualifications

While we are proud to offer on-the-job training for all positions, we prefer you to start with the following experience:

  • A minimum three-years' experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience with auditing LIHTC, HOME, BONDS, Section 8, HCD and other affordable housing programs.
  • Current Tax Credit Experience.
  • Must possess strong attention to detail and critical thinking ability.
  • Competence in personal computer skills, keyboard, 10 key, internet search, math, Microsoft Office Suite/Office 365 including Word, Excel, Excel Pivot tables and Outlook.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organization and time management skills and the ability to prioritize workload
  • Candidate will be required to pass a background and drug screening. (A conviction will not necessarily disqualify you from employment with WSH Management).
